Mirror manufacturing method
There are two methods for surface processing of glass to form reflective imaging surface: electroless silver plating and vacuum evaporation. The most commonly used method is electroless silver plating. This method is to dissolve silver nitrate in water, add ammonia water and sodium hydroxide solution and dilute it into silver hydroxide ammonia double salt to make silver plating solution. Use invert sugar or formaldehyde, potassium and sodium tartrate solution as reducing solution. After the glass is cut, edged (ground and polished if necessary), and the surface is cleaned, it is sensitized with a dilute solution of stannous chloride, then washed, and then mixed with a silver plating solution and a reducing solution to immediately impregnate the surface. After forming, it can be cleaned and then copper plated and protective paint can be applied. The vacuum evaporation method is to wash the glass, place it in an evaporation device with a vacuum degree of 0.1~10Pa, and energize the spiral tungsten wire. An electron gun can also be used instead of a tungsten wire for heating. The vacuum evaporation method can also process the smooth metal surface into a mirror surface.
